Google rocks
That is, for forcing the competition to change its practices.
This morning, I was starting to get worried that my Yahoo inbox had reached a new height of 69%, and I was climbing to that dreaded 100% full, where I would be forced to delete e mails that I really wanted to keep. Don't get me wrong, I haven't been overly possessive with e mails, and I've been quite harsh with the delete button; but there are some mails you have to keep. Reference purposes and all that.
Whilst I was wading through my mails this morning, came the message: Yahoo Mail is upgrading, and more importantly, it contained the word 'free'. Yes now there is 100mb storage. At 9am my mailbox was 69% full, it now is a mere 3%. Woohoo.
The downside, information overload and clutter. However, for now I really don't care. Google rocks with its beta 1gb Gmail, for giving the competition a good kick up the backside.
