And I finally have a scanner
Today my new scanner finally arrived, a CanoScan 500F Lide, and in celebration of here is a scanned picture of my mother from her days as an opera singer. Will leave readers to guess which one is her, its not that difficult. (And no, I can't be bothered to photoshop it).
Longer readers will remember that I got digged for not picking up a scanner at auction 2 months ago, and the arrival of a new scanner today came with its quips. So far I'm pleased with my purchase, and the only downside it picks up dust when scanning something dusty! I went for this model, with Glen's help (thanks G!), due to its portability. I'm hoping to make more use of it, especially from a family history perspective. Its ability to become flat, or to scan upright is another big plus. The scanner doesn't have an electric lead, so it is capable of running off the laptop's battery, another big plus for portability.
I'm currently uploading some Postcrossing cards to my flickr account, plus I've recently uploaded some from the States. Those who are my friend, login as there are a few photos which aren't public.
